OMG, that was adorable! Loved it. Great way to start the morning. The Penquin actually acted as if he was lovin it. The chicken…not so sure. I wish they'd had a closeup of the ostrich in the air. I wonder how on earth two different gliders can control being tied together, PLUS holding on to an ostrich?:eyes:

:)The penguin seems to enjoy it the most. I always had a soft spot for those guys.

great video, butwhy they hang the birds on their paloma biancas ?? :lol:I guess money boost that area too! :lol:I know I will go to hell (it's OK all my friends will be there!:hat: )

Angeliki, I didn't know what a "paloma bianca" was. So I put it through Babelfish and it was translated as "dove bihaunch." I don't know what that is either. 😆 Strange, but I had a dream about Tori Amos last night, and something about a twin-engine plane. Yes, the penquin really looked into it, kinda flapping its wings and everything, and he seemed to be…smiling? :up:I notice too that the chicken has the concerned "significant other" waiting for her on the ground — the rooster. My guess is that the only way they could have filmed these in flight would be to have a thin, lightweight bar extended from the hang glider frame and sticking out in front, holding a small camera which was turned backwards. If it would have been another hang glider or perhaps a helicopter filming, the distance would have changed at least somewhat throughout the shot. So it has to be a mounted camera, I think. :sherlock:
edwardpiercy said:
Well that's an interesting bit of trivia. Does Paloma hang glide? :)Is it an ostrich, or an emu? Don't know.
PainterWoman said:
An Emu? Ostriches have more color and are bigger I think. There used to be a weird guy down the street from me who had an Emu in his backyard. It would peer over the fence when I walked by. Animal control eventually came and took it. This guy used to put hand written signs all over his front yard about people who stared, or anti-government stuff, etc. I would just glance at him and nod my head hello, but he was the one who stared. He was very creepy looking with unkempt, long, bushy hair and beard.:eyes: Not that that made him weird…..it was the way he stared with an evil look  (or maybe he was scared of me). I stopped acknowledging him altogether and walked on the other side of the street. Eventually he moved away. I don't know of Paloma hang glides but she has a nice line of perfume.:D
PainterWoman said:
The camera would have had to have been mounted in front of the ostrich then and who knows what the ostrich would have done to it. I don't know what paloma bianca is either but I can guess. As a side note, I DO know that Picasso has a daughter named Paloma.

Pam, perhaps he was an Australian warlock with his emu familiar. Darko, I'm not sure if "white pigeon" helps me out any either with what Angeliki was refering to — LMAO. But thanks anyway! 🙂

"Over the mountains I fly" — well, that fits at least. Though I still don't know what Angeliki was talking about. I wonder if that group when they recorded that song would have ever thought that people would one day, far off in the future (the 2Ks), be thinking about penguins and chickens.
gdare said:
Paloma bianca is white pigeon as far as I know Spanish :DVery nice video… touching 🙂
edwardpiercy said:
I think it's real! They are not at any great elevation or anything. I don't think there would be breathing problems. You have to BELIEVE! :wizard: Now with me, yes, there would be breathing problems — :lol:I haven't looked at it yet, but I can sorta guess what "chocolate willy" is going to be!
edwardpiercy said:
Well, I found a cake vagina once. So nothing really surprises me with regard to that. 😆

ellinidata said:
:lol:I love you all much!!!!I do not believe Ed the filming was done with the real birds, the lungs of some of them are not used to any air pressure in the sky,I believe it was a mixture of a very clever editing :)here it is the Paloma only in another color :)(promise not to ask anything more about this picture 😆 yes, some members do send me unusual presents 😆 )http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb107/ellinidata/chocolate%20jif%20and%20pictures/Chocolate_Willy.jpg

There is an exotic art show here in Phoenix every year around Valentine's Day at the Alwun House. My artwork has been in it a few times although my work is quite tame compared to some. All of the dessert horsdeourves (sp?) are male and female genitalia. I can still see my mother's expression when she picked one up to eat.
edwardpiercy said:
But enough of the chocolate penis and the vagina cake. Let's get back to the flying penquin. And that's one of those lines that I simply live to write — 😆

Like I said, I always had a soft spot for penguins. They are noble and elegant creatures, I think. In Odense Zoo, Denmark, they have this very expensive 'environment' where they keep penguins, and last time I was there, I actually had a sort of conversation with one of those guys. He came right at me (as Steve Irwin would have said) and stood there nodding at me for a while and I smiled back. Lovely little critters they are. No actual aviation skills, but still quite charming.
ellinidata said:
I always think of penguins when I see a man in a tax! elegant is the first word that comes to mind!to go back to the cakes…:lol:nah never mind :lol:Pam I visited a gallery some years ago,my friend Gipsy (that's her real name) native Venezuelan had a scholarship in the US and she was displaying her work . Next to her it was a Mexican artist that got the most comments of all. Some were positive other negative. He had a series of paintings based on a womans physical abuse and his desire to bring awareness made him put a vagina on a cross. There were some protest from religious groups outside the gallery, some interpret it as: calling Jesus gayothers as: women are crucified on a daily basisand my late husband Michael found it :a very clever way of the artist to sell all his painting in the first week of the exhibit…I love visiting galleries..I love artists,My post on artists it is almost ready 🙂

Coming in late, I'd like to make a comment on the original issue.Even though this is a commercial, and some like to frown at stuff like that, I actually think this was a small piece of art.It made me happy too. I just loved that penguin. And it made me think. Everything can be done if we set our minds to it. Go do it! The sky is the limit.
