Welcome to Crazy Daisy's.
Admission is free
(she must be crazy!)
BYOB.
Enjoy the show.
THE GO-GO'S
(Drummer Gina Schock had open heart surgery
when she was a kid just like I did.)
A-HA
(I always pictured these guys driving
around in Volvos.)
ELVIS COSTELLO
(In his bad boy days.)
LENA LOVITCH
(Lena did that song/video in 1979.
She also gets my vote for the most whacked-out
chic of the 80s. Which is saying something.)
DEPECHE MODE
(I once danced with a girl on the
top of a bar to this song.)
ULTRAVOX
SIMPLE MINDS
ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN
What's the sense in spieling
Without the grace to be here?
It seems that David Byrne and Tina Weymouth
of the TALKING HEADS stopped in to do a number.
"Heaven"
(I was totally privileged to see this
band twice in concert.)
HUMAN LEAGUE
(That last one is my favorite song of the 80s.)
BLONDIE
"Dreaming"
Well it's late, the music is over,
I've drank about 8 beers and done
a line of coke. So I guess it's time
to go home and put some music on the
turntable and drink some more beer.

the best collection ever!!!I will not only become a member of the "Crazy Daisy Night Club" butI will make sure the word is spread too! :lol:A perfect post!
😆 Then I have another club you can join for free… …no, I'm not going to say it.
I drank it out of a tiny little spoon, actually. :lol:But…that was the 80s. A mythical time long lost.
"I was hoping you would be a regular!"the free membership always does it for me ! 😆
You drink Coke in a small cups? Smart :P
Glad you had a good time! I was hoping you would be a regular! 😆
Incidentally, it occurred to me that Ian McCulloch in the blonde wig in "Seven Seas" looks a lot like Rosanna Arquette. Maybe way too much like Rosanna Arquette. If you catch my drift.
hmmmmmmmmmm, your drift I would say it is right !!!ABC has now babes in their web site??? wow what they do to attract more viewers..
😆
:eyes:you better not or I take my business else where! 😆
:sing: "It's no better to be safe than sorry!" :sing:My favorite '80's video. Thanks for opening up those long-closed memories, Edward.
I just got that one off the net. It was tough finding a photo of her when she was younger. Not that I mind older, but Ian was pretty young when he did the video, so I wanted an approximate time match. Don't know if I got it or not.
Let's see, now I gotta remember what song that line comes from…:lol:Glad I had your favorite vid. Whatever that one was.
:lol:A-Ha's "Take On Me", Edward. That is one really cool video. I love it when the waitress wads up the comic book and you see all the wrinkles in the drawings during the animation. Pure genius.
Considering that we don't have a bartender right now, you're hired! I should mention though that Crazy Daisy is kind of a tough boss to work for. Maybe because she's crazy. That's really wild about the bars there in DK. I would love to see a pic of one. I took the name from the bar in Sheffield, England. Which has now closed down but was quite the hot New Wave club in the late 70s and 80s.
You know I just listened to that vid again. Seriously. I had a funny feeling… :lol:Interesting how some lines stick with one person and some with others, yeah? The video is extremly original. Even if they did take the bouncing off the hall walls thing at the end from the movie Altered States.
You can negotiate with a terrorist…;)It's getting late. I'm going to meet some very important music people first thing tommorow (it's my band :)). Have a nice day!
This is really funny, Ed, because in Denmark we actually have a chain of disco clubs called 'Crazy Daisy'. Did you realize that? I can send you a picture of the local 'Crazy Daisy' if you want, it's just around the corner from where I live. I don't go there, though. I don't dance or drink or socialize with exotic women, so I guess I have no business there…I was a teenager in the 80's, so I have this hate/love relationship with this particular decade. I do have 'Just Can't Get Enough' on my favorites playlist on my mp3 player, though. If you need a bartender, I'm interested.
You can tjeck this out, and see for your self. http://www.crazy-daisy.dk/Crazy Daisy Danmark are not particularly New Wave orientated, though. They sometimes have 1980 Theme Nights of course. By the way, the New Wave Fashion is comming back. It's already quite hip in Paris and Berlin. And the sound as well. You just wait and see. From september 2004 until april last year, I worked as a barkeeper at a restaurant down town, which means I actually have credentials. Spend a lot of time on the other side of bars too. I can say, without messing with the truth, that I am well experienced in that department.By the way: What is the difference between a barkeeper and a terrorist?
Uh, I give up. What's the difference?
Thank you. You too. I'll put this up for tomorrow when you are rested.I checked out that site and managed to find my way around. Found the club in Horsens. While I was on the site there was music in the background, first "Fame" and then "Don't You Want Me" by the Human League. So I have a feeling (at least from the second song) that I would like the place. And there might be a few other things I would like about the place…That was from the "DKBN BILLIDEN" link. I know what "billiden" means; no clue as to the "dkbn" part.
I'll check these out properly when my new phone arrives.
Go for it! 😆
