Eddie "Snowballs" Piercy, notorious
Spokane bank robber.
I mentioned on an earlier post that I didn't
see much reason to post a photo of our first
snowfall. But that was a few days ago, when
we only had 8 inches of snow. Now we've got
that plus an additional 20 inches that has
fallen over the past 48 hours.
The town isn't in total lock-down — but
almost. The schools are closed. The busses
aren't running (most of them). Some businesses
are choosing not to even open. And Deaconess
Hospital has cancelled all elective surgeries
for the interim — Damn, it looks like that
nose job I was planning on getting will have
to wait a while.
And guess what. It just started up again and
is now coming down even heavier than before.

And Pam, how about Pam "Paintbrush" Whatever? That sounds pretty cool.
Darko, I keep "sticking it into all the wrong places" if you know what I mean. The plastic surgeons said they could help me with that…I'm sceptical, but I'm willing to try it.
Looks like a whole lot of fun, Edward. It's just cloudy, foggy, drizzly, and cold here. No snow. No sun. Boring.Throw a few snowballs (and rob a few banks :D) for me.
Brrr! It looks cold. You can barely see the cars! I was complaining that it's been in the low 40's here. I've had the heat on a couple degrees higher (72) in my house since I've been sick but I'm still cold. Have to keep socks on and long sleeves. It's about 51 outside right now…not bad in the sun…but it's been cloudy, windy and rainy for the last two weeks which is unusal for Phoenix. Seeing your nickname 'Snowballs' makes me think of some of the names of now deceased mafiosos that were in my ex's family: Toots, Blacky, Whitey, Fingers, Jacks…I'll probably remember a few others as the day goes on.
What`s wrong with your nose? :eyes:
:insane:
Well it seems the weather has been weird in both your locations. I just made a trek over to the grocery store. Jeez. I mean, the place is across the street and I felt I was on some sort of arctic expedition. I took Sasha out in all of this. Strangely, she wasn't nearly as freaked out by it all as I thought she would be. It seems her agoraphobia is getting a bit better. But then we ran into Zeppelin and Struedel, two of my neighbor dachshunds, and Sasha rolled right over even in the snow and showed Zeppelin her nipples! I'm definitely going to have to have a talk with that girl. Keep warm, girls.
๐ :lol:Kisses to CJ.
That's surprising about Sasha. Did she have a little sweater on? I'd love to see what CJ would do. She'd probably last two mintues. She always seems to be cold and has been getting under the covers for the last month since the temp has dropped under 60 outside. When I let them both out very early in the morning, she is done and waiting at the door in less than five minutes. I leave them out there about fifteen minutes and, by the time I open the door, she is shivering and immediately runs to get under the bedspread.
I hope the busses start running soon. I have to get to the bank and I have a typography job for someone that was due today — but couldn't get downtown to Kinko's to run a proof off their laser printer. Luckily, the guy I did the job for didn't open his business today anyway. So I'm good for one more day. Bad news is that it is still snowing and it might be the same or worse tomorrow. Well, A., I guess I'll be seeing you next Spring! I just hope we don't have to revert to cannibalism — my spear point making is a little rusty and I don't think I can hunt the caribou like I used to.
Eddie, stay indoors, have things delivered to you from the store! this is bad!We expect 8-12 inches tonight but when they say "New York" usually they mean upstate…My buddy Giannis in Utah was telling me yeaterday that ,the ski resorts are over crowded already…he is the Director of Public Works in Salt Lake City and he claims "more tourists means more garbage more s@@t and it is a job security to me!" ๐ of course water and roads are part of his Dept.responsibilities too and broken pipes of mains at the streets or road leading to the ski resorts really keep his department busy… do you have any problem with power or with frozen pipes in your area???I love your post and I hope your nose doesn't fall from the cold! *hugs*
PS by the way are they really "snowballs" ???:p
spring is around the corner! I hope buses do run and be extra careful when out…
I was JUST WONDERING if you were going to get around to mentioning that!A: It depends on how hard you want to work on them to "thaw them up."And just in case you would like to practice…
:lol:poor Santa he looks very tired! I am so much stealing this picture!!unless they are Greek meatballs I will pass ๐
You know, it looks like we just might have a white Christmas here…So I'm getting into the spirit. ๐
I hear Santa is the sharing type! :lol:lovely collection of pictures, very festive! ๐
I wouldn't mind warming them up with Jenny McCarthy…Hey, I can feed her doggie biscuits just as good as anybody.
๐
there is nothing like "White Xmas" and of course nothing like being into the right spirit!!!
You bad! ๐
Snow scares me! :insane:.Good thing I've only seen it once in my life. :left:
No snow here – but a fierce storm is waiting to invade us tomorrow. One should think it was you who lived in Scandinavia…
I just wish a had a dogsled and a good team of Greenlandic sled dogs. That way I might be able to get the 15 blocks downtown. Good luck with the fierce storm. Maybe it will turn out to be just a storm in a bad mood.
No snow here either, and I believe it is going to be 63 F tomorrow. That will feel like 90 F given the last few week's mini-ice age. But I would be nice to have snow on the ground this Christmas Day.
:sst: we had 2 inches this morning
I would be the last person to question the Weather Goddess, but I think she needs to consider distributing this stuff a little more evenly!

Congrats!
