Over the past months I have been increasingly unwilling to post videos
from youTube. The reason for that is that the vids tend to come and go.
There are of course some that have been featured there for a long time.
But there are probably more that are posted and then taken off in a short
time span. Usually the ones that are taken off (for whatever reason) end
up being put back on by somebody else. But it makes no difference at that
point — the original URL path put onto the blog here is now defunct for
the earlier one. A few times I have gone back to earlier posts to see if
the videos are still active links. And I always find at least a few that
are not.
I mentioned to someone once that if nothing else, linking to youTube can
teach us something about the transience of existence. But I guess I'm
tired of thinking about all of it — permanence or impermanence, good
links or bad, time, and changes through life. It's all written into
the stars anyway. I'm tired of thinking about it.
I think I'm going to quit with the youTube thing. I can't swear that I
will never link another one again, especially in the Comments, but at
this point I don't intend to continue using them.
And so, assuming this is my last one, I thought that I would put up this
song by Mozella. It is truly pop fluff. In fact it is even fluffier and
poppier than normal. As well as being somewhat delusional. We all know
that the sun won't shine forever, as stated in the song. But you know,
deluding myself and finding some crazy unrealistic joy is something that
I am willing to do every once in a while, for 3:38 seconds, temporary,
but what the hell — it's magic, yeah?

Loved the male canary Pam. Females don't sing. Each male has his own unique song. Never owned a canary but wish I had one when I was better able to care for it. They are costly little birds.

Oh I hope you and other OC don't stop! I enjoy them. It's great to know other peoples' likes and to be exposed to all the different types vids. I'll post my normal stuff. Haven't been posting very many vids anyway lately. No Judy Garland this year for Christmas though. I went back to last year's post for the song and the link was dead. 😥 I found another vid of the same but it had about 1:30 of the movie preceeding it that the old one didn't have. I think that experience was the watershed for all this. Anyway, I'll come up with some other Christmas thing. As soon as I think of one. :p
