See?
Nothing but a nice happy smiley!
Nothing bad or depressing or pessimistic!
And here's Winnie the Pooh!
And look! I'm even throwing in Hayley Mills
with a nice cat!
And when the drugs wear off, I'll go back
to my usual type posts!

Yeah, I remember them Pam. And the Nehru jackets too. I never knew many people who wore them as I came from a relatively conservative city. But I saw men wear them in the movies and on television, etc.Groovy! ๐
PainterWoman said:
I like them…the colors too. Reminds me a little of the Nehru shirts that were popular in the sixties. Remember those?

I think he's bogarting the good stuff. Don't know if ya'll are familiar with that expression or not.
L2D2 said:
I don't know, but I have told many people that in my lifetime. ๐ Always at least one in the bunch who would take 2 or more tokes while everyone else did one.
edwardpiercy said:
I just think it's cool they called it Bogarting.

๐ I guess he'd enjoy this very much ๐
thetomster said:
๐ yo … we all know this one guy, funny isn't it, every time sitting with more than 3 guys and … yep, there's one of those guys again … :p
L2D2 said:
Probably join in so he could truly "Bogart". haha
edwardpiercy said:
It also sometimes felt as if Keith Richards was there. For some reason. :p
edwardpiercy said:
:lol:With a couple swigs of Jack Daniels as a chaser. You know it occurred to me that in the 70s when the quality of pot wasn't very good that Bogarting was a big deal. But in the 80s, where we were suddenly talking about 2-hit pot and you are ripped, it wasn't such a big deal then.So I guess it boils down to surplus value and the Marxist-Leninist line of pot smoking.(Hmmmph)
thetomster said:
:p and he always tried to have more than 2 takes a round :p

I smoked my first joint in a cave in southern Indiana.Seriously. It was kinda spooky.

๐ :p Well, I do remember hallucinating the very first time I got "stoned out of my gourd" as they used to say. Did ya'll ever, since we're on the subject, get hold of some giggle weed? I loved it.
thetomster said:
๐ if I remember well, it sometimes felt as if he was there :p
thetomster said:
:p well in the 70's I guess it was a big deal because we … at least I ๐ … was younger … and later then hm, yeah … it was like this, more common, more experienced trying to be even cooler than the coolest … but that brought us to limit the circle again … :p why is it that I think the pot was getting back to low quality again … ah, never mind … :p :p :pLinda, giggle weed … I remember this, to be honest I can meet people when I do my weekend shopping the enjoyed giggle weed until they peed … and didn't care … nowadays they are doing their weekend shopping … hm, I guess it's not related, but they look much older and a lot greyer than I feel ๐ ๐ ๐
L2D2 said:
Give them a "knowing" grin, Dirk. As far as pot versus alcohol goes, I would always choose pot. It doesn't make you lose your mind and fight and all the other bad things that alcohol causes. I might still have been married to Larry had he been a pothead rather than a drunk. Probably not though. ๐
thetomster said:
๐ I guess the giggle weed victims just couldn't enjoy the right fun that time ๐ ๐ ๐ the head shops are still to be seen in Germany, I pass one every morning on my way to office … and they still sell the same stuff … and ZigZags I still use it for rolling my cigarette, not the big ones of course :p … but big fun we had … ๐ ๐ ๐ hopefully I meet one of the grey housewifes on my weekend shopping, I'll give them a big grin ๐
L2D2 said:
๐ ZigZag papers were a dime or .15 and now they are $2.00. And there were headshops in most towns, that were later outlawed. I loved the one in Longview. As well as bongs and pipes and all the paraphernalia, they also sold hippie clothing—shirts, dresses, tie dyed and batik, headbands, waterbeds, black light posters. Wonderful stuff! The one in Longview just happened to have a massage parlor attached (which, I never patronized, I promise) Lots of bad stuff went on, but I also had a lot of fun in the 60s and 70s.
