Tony Atlas crushing a skull.
With the demise of the ECW wrestling league on the
SyFy channel (formerly the more sensibly titled Sci-Fi
channel), it looks like a good number of professional
wrestlers will be looking for new jobs.
I think that some wise producer needs to bring back
the old Peplum (i.e. sword and sandle) movies, possibly
starring ECW wrestler Tony Atlas. Can Tony act?
Doesn't make any difference for these kind of
movies. Peter Lupus and Mickey Hargitay couldn't
act either. But he looks the part I think.
Oh I wish I had the money. I would come up with some
cool and crazy stuff, I'll tell ya.
And of course we'd have to throw in a couple
of occasional sidekicks for gladiator Tony.
These two look promising. Although we might
have to drop the glasses considering it's
ancient Rome.

Well Darko, since I will be the Producer/Director for this project, I can see you in a role as a Roman soldier who befriends Atlas and helps out him out sometimes?I'm telling ya I'm seeing it baby! I'm seeing it! Have your people contact my people!:)
Big people :eyes:Now, what was this post about? 😆
Ed, besides muscled men, I know you'd have a few gorgeous women in there plus some bunnies; and asparagus as the magic muscle making food. Steve Reeves was a favorite of mine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Reeves I really can't remember if he was a good actor or not but thought he was very handsome.
Pam, you know I never did see that detective movie about Reeves. It was on really really late on night on cable, but I was too tired at that point to watch it. :(Great idea about the asparagus! How'd you like a job as Set Coordinator?

Star they've been doing it for a while now. As well as endless episodes of Ghost Hunters. I guess they're trying to branch out. But they've gotten a LOT of complaints. They'd be better of IMO if they just did their movies and the syndicated series. They'd have a lot to add there. Old SF series like Lost In Space, Buck Rogers in the 21st century, the original Battlestar Galactica — you'd have to ask Linda about this but to the best of my knowledge they don't show those at all. I think they're screwing the pooch on that one.
Since when did the SciFi channel start doing wrestling? What's scientific about that? (Although there is a lot of fiction involved.)Can ya' tell I don't watch very often?
This "reality TV" craze has gone way too far. I used to watch Court TV quite a bit, but now it's just stuff like hard-core partying, repossession trips, world's dumbest criminals and vactioners and thrill-seekers, and one show they call "It Only Hurts When I Laugh". Contains a bunch of people doing really stupid things and getting hurt–kinda like "America's Funniest Home Videos" on cocaine.I'm getting to the point where I just watch the local and national news and then keep my tv on Turner Classic Movies the rest of the time.:irked:
Hey, I got a date! I must be back to that morning dream again!
It's a date, Edward.:D
I always picture you just watching TCM. :)
Till yet, after about 4 seasons or more, they still haven't found a ghost.
SyFy channel for the last two years:Monday night==Reality show Scare Tactics & animeTuesday nights—WrestlingWed. nights—Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters—and endless night of Ghost Hunters which sucks big timeFri and Sun nights about all I watch anymore. Their programming has turned to SH$$
I really like that channel, Edward. It's got everything: romance, mystery, drama, comedy, music, dancing, and JOHN WAYNE! :lol:Seriously, it was a different time. When men were men and women were ladies–usually. Barbara Stanwyck would sometimes really push the envelope on that one. 😀 But you didn't have to guess at what you could expect. Kids respected their elders, no blood and gore, very, very little cursing. Sex was mostly left to the imagination; the body wasn't displayed just for the purpose of shock. And "story" meant something. A movie had to have a story to it, and not just a bunch of noise and special effects, in order to make an impact. It was truly the golden age of movies.
Marlene Dietrich kinda pushed the envelope a bit too — especially with other women. :pYou know what gets me these days the most I think? Movie trailers that last 60 seconds and at the end of it you have no frigging idea what the movie was about. Let's go see Shelter Island together Star. Now THAT is an old time movie.
:lol:It'll be the first date I've had since 1991, Edward.:eyes::lol:
And probably the first GOOD date that I've had since 1984. 😆 😆:heart:
Gosh if you joined the gym, just say it!These men are not even attractive! Originally posted by edwardpiercy:
😆 oh my! I have no clue what the date game is anymore! :lol:my blind dates suck!
Well I'm not going to DATE the gladiators, Angeliki. Unless one is Brad Pitt, of course. :p :p :p
Date? Did someone mention date? Whos is eating dates? Have you ever eaten date loaf candy? It's good stuff. And tomorrow's date is 2/9/10. Am I missing something here?
:lol:I can't eat dates anymore Too old!:)
Well if you like dates Darko, you should check out a date bar. They're usually sold in boxes of four. 🙂
Ha! That's one variety!ROTFLMAO. Have a great day, my friend.
Dates? Someone said: dates? I like dates :chef:
I`ve heard about those bars
