From last Sunday through Wednesday we had a family
reunion, our first in 2 years. In attendance was
my sister Tass, bro John, oldest nephew Nathan,
our mom, Barbara, and our dog Sasha.
Here are some photos.
Sometimes a bit of the old hooch helps when
trying to figure out the Apple operating
system. When all was figured out, John gave
us a slideshow of family photos and also some
videos.
My nephew Nathan got Sasha a little red ball
as a present. Thanks Nate!
Looking through the dinner menu from Ming Wah.
Pigging out on Chinese carry-out and watching Family Feud.
We were going to go to the Jundt Art Museum over
at Gonzaga University. But we arrived about 10
minutes after they closed. So we went to Plan B
and decided to search out the Crosby House. Here's
me walking on campus. I really like this photo
for some reason.
Bing Crosby, Spokane's most famous native son,
lived in a house in his early years that is now
on the campus of Gonzaga. Crosby attended college
there (pre-law, go figure that one) and contributed
a huge amount of money to the school over the years.
Here's John out in front of the house.
As it happened we arrived 7 minutes too late to
tour the Crosby House. So here's a shot of me
crooning a song out on the front porch.
Got pope?
Here's a shot of John with a statue of Pope
John-Paul II taken in the Administration
Building of the university. Which was
essentially Plan C.
Me and the Pope were real tight.
I don't know who this girl was but she must
have been somebody important because her photo
is with a bunch of others on the wall of the
Administration Building. I just thought she
was a fox and took her picture.
I needed a head shot of Tass for the address
book on my phone. Here she is wearing my
"Mr. Smith" Matrix sunglasses.
Tass sometimes has trouble with the new technology.
John with the all-important flashlight. And
don't ask, 'cause I don't even remember what
that was all about.
Tass still trying to figure out the camera.
John still playing with the flashlight.
My youngest nephew Keegan couldn't be at the
reunion as he just got married and is living
in San Antonio. But I did have a request for
a picture of their new baby, Kieren. So here
it is.
A get-together can be rather tiring for little
girl dogs.
Barbara with Sasha, Tass, Nate, and John.
I would like to thank my bro John for suggesting
the reunion and taking time off work to do it,
as well as picking up the bulk of the expenses.
So much has happened to us over the years, each
of us in our own way. But we are still a family.

Thanks, Richard! You know most of them were taken with either John's or my own crappy cell phone cameras. Nevertheless I took them into Photoshop and did what I could with them.
Fabulous shots, Edward. I'm so glad you were able to have such a fun time with your family!
Well, you did a great job with them. I can tell some are of better resolution than others! 🙂
What a great family! So glad you had a good time together.
It looks like a lots of fun. Except for Sasha, she seemed to be confused and tired. So, this is going to be annual family meeting?
BTW I will be doing normal blog rounds again starting on Saturday. Need to rest up today and I'm going to Idaho tomorrow. Also, Tass is still here at this point. She decided to stay on a few extra days.
@ Star. Oh, they'll do I suppose. Didn't have much of a choice really. :p@ Richard. John has a Canon A640. Pretty nice camera. @ Darko. Sasha was tired by all the constant barking she did! I can't say her behavior was the best. But by the last day she started warming up to everybody.
Great family photos Ed. I too like that one of you walking towards the school but also of you crooning in front of the Crosby House. It looks like everyone had a good time. I'm so glad you all got together.
Thanks, Pam. You know that walking photo reminds me of some photo I saw once — it might have been of JFK.
I think I have seen one with Slobodan Milosevic on it 😆
Edward, Tass looks so much like you! I am glad you had a great visit with your family. When all's said and done, God, family and good friends is all we have. Don't know what I'd do without my family.
@ DarkoOh god Darko not that comparison, please! (Assume you were joking)@ LindaYou know being with my blood family just made me think of my Opera family very much. All of you.
thanks for sharing Eddie,I am so glad you all had such a great time!
😛
How nice! Family gatherings are awesome! I'm glad you are close to your family, Ed.I like the rear shot of you too. Think it might be the suit? The photo of you and Johnny is pretty cool too :cool:Thanks for sharing 🙂
It was good seeing everybody again. Very tiring, though. But I would do it all over again anyway.
Hey Eddie, just popping in to say that I really had a great time visiting. Wish I could've stayed one more day. Wanted to play guitar with you too and perhaps start that song we had talked about at the Elk. Unfortunately, things were stacking up on me here at home and had to get to it. Hope everything goes well for you this week. Thanks for showing us such a great time!
Amazing what family can do for ya', ain't it?
Thanks, bro. I missed doing the music thing too, especially since it has been so long since we've tried to put a song together. Too much that would have been fun to do, too little time! 🙂 But you know I think that would have been the case even had you stayed 2 weeks, yeah? Also I think it fortuitous that you went back when you did because of your aunt. Strange the way things work sometimes. In any case I thank you again for it all. It was great seeing everybody. I think that it kinda got me out of a rut too — for the first time in 2 years I feel like working on fiction and have pulled an old idea out of the drawer.
Its going exactly as I planned :lol:Glad you have your family, it makes me so sad when families are torn apart..just something so wrong with thhat scenerio.
@ Star. Sure is, Star!@ Mags. Hey Mags, how's it goin! 😀
 Ed, while going through all the notifications and 'new' blog posts from the last 5 weeks … I kept your 'family reunion' post to read them separately from all the others. and it was worth waiting a little longer … because I really don't have the time to comment on all of them … so I kept some special ones … for reading and commenting. I have to say I really enjoyed it …
… so true and very special … and I really like your favorite picture … very distinguished
BTW- your photo comments are hilarious!!!
Hey Eddie, I know I'm late on this post. Just spotted your last comment above. True about the timing with my aunt. Also, I'm really glad we inspired eachother as a result of this trip. Thank you!
