When my bro John was here in May for our family reunion
I happened to show him "Black Dress Prom Queen," one of
the Tiny Tales. "Prom Queen" is rather unusual for the
tales inasmuch as it is in verse. Well when John read
it he expressed some interest in making the thing into
a song.
And not too long after he returned to Tacoma he did just
that. And as it happens this Sunday he will premier it
at a concert he is giving.
So it looks as if I will get my 15 minutes of fame. Or
maybe more like 5 minutes of fame considering that's
how long the song is.
This is John's first live concert in years. I wish him
the best of luck with it.

Sausages and bloody marys as well. Wish I could be there!
Me too. For both those things. And oh, for the music. :p
That is so cool! Tell John, "Break a leg!"(My sister once told me that telling a professional musician to "break a leg" before he/she goes onstage is supposed to be very good luck. She's a musician, and used to perform professionally, so I guess she would know. But then again, she USED TO perform professionally, so…maybe not. :D)We should charter a bus and all of us go. Think we could find a supersonic flying bus to go all over the world and pick up everybody so we can all go see John sing your song? Just make a party of it! :hat::hat::hat::D:heart:
Thanks Star, I'll yell him. Though he might be here later himself. A supersonic bus, wow. That's a great idea. Kinda like the Concorde — except with fewer restarooms — and no movies. :p
:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: I wish John to "break a leg" too! in a musical meaning only!
Way cool! Wish I could be there too! 🙂
Yes, I wish we could all be there. It would be a nice way to spend sunday evening
Looks like Star's flying supersonic bus is going to be a bit crowded!
We can use a Space Shuttle as well 😉
No more Space Shuttles, Darko. We're hitching a ride with the Russians now. :(Unless we buy a used one…
I think I took that bus last Thursday! We were packed in like kids… I mean sardines!
😆 yes!
:lol:I mean 😦 sorry, where did you go Eddie?Living in NYC being touched in the train became our daily treat 😥 I hope you enjoy a great Saturday …I am trying to relax after 16 hours of work I had yesterday.I had to have a glass of wine in order to sleep last night! Imagine that!
Thanks for the post Eddie and to everyone for your support. Now, ALL ABOARD the "Supersonic Bus"!
Yes, Nathan plans to go. His friend Cindy may go with us too
@ AngelikiI went out to the Sprint store to get the trackball fixed on my phone. Standing room only on the bus back. Relax! Think of Johnny! 😀
@ JohnI hope you have a great great time. Is Nate going?
Has to be a bus. Way cool.
A flyin bus at that… SUPERSONIC!!! If you do happen to miss this bus, don't worry. There will be another leaving on Monday that can slingshot around the sun and you will be delivered to my show "Previous Day Air"! Either way… see you there!
:lol:Previous Day Air. Must be pretty expensive! :p
:up I hope the gig will be unforgettable :up:btw … grandpa Heilman … a German? and "foosball" … that sounds very German :sherlock:edit: 💡 I know now: http://www.foosball.com/content.php?page=239

😀 John's last name is Selzler. :lol:I hope it goes well too. For John primarily — works very hard at his regular job and deserves to kick back with his music.
Is that the song I suggested in a comment that John might put it to music for you? Damn I'm good! I was right!
And I can actually envision a song entitled "Supersonic Bus" coming forth soon. Never dismiss a woman's intuition.Make sure it stops in Tyler, Tx., OK?
When do we get to hear this song?
Yes, it's the same song Linda. I guess John will put the song up on his Myspace page, but he wants to rerecord it first. 🙂
Another "late-comer" comment. So many in the audience were very impressed with the story of and brought it up to me on my break. The wording, Ed, couldn't have been better. Such a great job you did with it! I announced full credit to you for this on stage.
I heard the intro. And very much appreciate it! Somebody elsewhere commented that "country" songs tend to tell a story. And I know this one does as I wrote it as such. :lol:I hope that BDPQ gets you some MySpace hits and some listen to your other songs as well.
