I'm not exactly sure why but my sister got me a copy
of Inked magazine for my birthday. Maybe she thought
I needed an image makeover or something.
So I thought — why the hell not. And I decided to get
a tattoo.
This tattoo not only expresses my personality, but it
talks too.
And I think it already needs therapy.

:lol:When I was a kid, we (friends, brother, sisters, Dad) used to draw things like that on our hands and have little "plays". Was a lot of fun, and kept us out of trouble. At least for a little while.:D:heart:

BTW, I'm thinking about starting a new blog in which I rate the restrooms at Spokane businesses. I was at Lowe's yesterday and their squirt hand soap was crap. But the worst (ironically) is at Deaconess Health Building where my cardiologist is. Their soap is just god-awful, smells strong and like some sort of cream they used to slick guys' hair back with in the old days. I had to hit another restroom elsewhere just to wash off the smell.

Back when I was a news magazine editor we actually ran a series of alternative reviews. We started with reviewing the sunday service at five different churches, rating them. This got a few people upset. Then we reviewed and rated the coffe cups at five different restaurants, I mean the coffe cups only. This got a few more people upset, and we lost a couple of adverticers. But the worst uproar came when we reviewed and rated the public restrooms. All sorts of people rang in with complaints and even somebody from the mayor's office send os a letter of complaint. We found it extremely amusing.

Well as far as I remember the feature was issued under the headline 'Locum Popularis'. Locum is the old Roman word for toilet, mening 'little place' or something. It was ment as a satire, but some people don't have any sense of humour at all. And these people often have the telephone number to the newspaper on speed dial. You wouldn't believe how many weirdos would call in with complaints or suggestions on a daily basis.
As my uncle used to say, "If a person only had time to mess with this stuff…" :lol:Your projects really do sound interesting. Well, if I do decide to do something like that I will definitely ask your advice. :up:
Hell, if I had a WordPress blog I could probably get advertising for a blog like that. Who cares really if Lowe's has a stinky restroom as long as I have the link to their site on the sidebar? :p
In retrospect I understand some of the critics sentiments. Our magazine was one of those fancy ones you'd find in cafés and in the lobbies of hotels, cinemas, the theatre and such. People would not expect to open up a fold and see close-ups of filthy toilets in colour, supported by in-depth analyzis… We also took the opportuinity to dig up the city administrations politics on hygienic standards and stuff like that… But hey, that's journalism… You can't live with it, and you can't live without it.

I only have about four copies of our magazine in my possession. It's twelve years ago. My son has all 1996 issues, but I am not sure if anybody has copies of all issues, exzcept the National Danish Library which have most issues of every magazine and newspaper ever published. It will take me forever to find this particular one. I don't even remember the year.It can't be done. Sorry.PS: Correction, The National Danish Library seems to have only issues from years 1996 – 1997, so… 😦
That's too bad. It's nice to have copies of one's work. Or so I would imagine.
