I was over at the grocery the other day and saw this
bottle of picante sauce sitting on the shelf.
It just seemed to call out to me — for some reason.

It´s never too late to live in the present
Dear friends,Have a major dental emergency going on right now since last Friday and it's going to take a while to get it all resolved. May not be around the blogs much. But I'm thinking of you all.
😦 Sorry to hear about your dental emergency, Ed, and I hope it gets sorted soon. 😆 That sauce would appeal to you!
Thanks for the support. I was hoping to avoid all this until next Spring after I have my valve job. But it was not to be. Because of my teeth I haven't been able to use the picante sauce yet. But I couldn't resist taking a big drop of it on my finger and tasting it. It is very hot, which is to be expected. But it also has this spicy sensation as it goes down the throat which is excellent. I'll be glad when I can try it on some burritos.
Problems with the 'tent pegs' as we say in Denmark. How annoying. Expensive too. Bummer.I have this green curry paste stuff, that I have become quite fond of. It doesn't have my girlfriend's name on the jar, though.;)
Actually, there's a funny story there, because the liga football team of Horsens is actually an Athletic Club, so the team name is 'AC Horsens'. We had some laughs about that when we lived there. I could open the sport's section of our newspaper and the headline would be 'AC Buys Two New Midfield Players', and I would say to her 'Sweetheart, you could have mentioned this…';)
Ed, you are a dirty old man! Or maybe I am?
@ Richard. I be bad!@ Martin. BTW I forgot that you live in Odense now. Sorry.Anyway, that sounds like one more good reason to produce the new curry. If you bring in the football fans that would I think boost sales notably.
It's actually a good idea, because the AC team colours are yellow and black. With a lot of turmeric in the curry and the club logo on the jar.And footballers like it hot.

You could go into business for yourself, perhaps. AC Curry Products, Horsens, DK.I figure that picante is as close as I will ever come to "tasting Valentina." :p
Mmmm, this is one hot post about a girl you like :DWe have some very hot dishes, usually from south of Serbia. I don`t know if those are as hot as that Mexican (?) stuff you have there :DBtw, sorry to hear about your problems 😦
😆 That's funny! I hope you enjoy every drop.Too bad about the dental problems. I work for a dental insurance company and can't believe how much work can cost. Even people with insurance can't afford some of the procedures.Hope it all works out for you.
Hope the dental stuff gets taken care of quickly and as painlessly as possible, Edward.Enjoy your picante!

will be thinking of you, Ed! sorry to hear all this and I will be hoping the day of the burrito will be coming soon. take care and get well soon 🙂
@ Darko.I'd like to try some of that spicy Serbian stuff. Do you think those are the dishes that migrated from the middle east with the expansion? You were right — it's from Guadalajara Mexico.@ Star.I'm sure I will. And of couse I have to wonder what kind of Bloody Mary that sauce would make — :ko: @ Mags. The thing on that is that there's some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that this is so bad it will require oral surgery. The good news is that oral surgeons are M.D.s and take Medicare B. And thanks for the wishes.@ Jill.LMAO. Day of the Burrito — starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. And a burrito. :p
It probably came to Balkan along with Osman Turks  I am not sure if you have Serbian restaurant in Spokane, though :left:

@ Darko.I'll look in the phone book and see if they have any Ottoman Turk restaurants in my area. :p@ Jill.Originally posted by studio41:

Edward, can't believe you found a sauce of any kind with that particular name! It was meant to be! Sorry about the dental problems. I'm going to be having them shortly. Couldn't do anything about it because Medicare doesn't pay for dental work. However, this new Advantage Plan I has pays for certain dental work and for eyeglasses, so that's a good thing, as both are big expenses. I have partials that need replacing. This insurance will provide new dentures or partials I believe every three years. After I get all this surgery stuff out of the way I think I'll look into the matter. Time for new glasses, too. Hope the dental work isn't too painful.

@ Linda.I couldn't believe it either. I think my jaw dropped open when I saw it. BTW they have 2 varieties of the Valentina, hot and super hot. The super hot variety they were down to two bottles of it remaining the last time I went to the store. So my sister bought one and I bought the last one. Hopefully they will reorder but I'm not taking any chances. In any case Valentina seems to be very popular!I hope all your dental goes well, both from a physical and a financial point of view. @ Jill. :coffee: 😦
Ah, well, my dental work is too far in the future to even think about right now.
