Will switching to Geico really save you 15 percent or

:lol:I kinda like Flo, the Progressive Auto Insurance girl. Of course, I don't need any auto insurance because I don't have a car. But if she would want to get together for a couple of drinks or something….
I switched away from Geico and saved 20%. Orcs rule!
😆 As long as she didn't talk insurance all night.
:lol::lol:
Luckily I don`t have a car. So, no screaming pigs on back seat.:chef:
:insane:
:lol:Oh, I sincerely doubt I'd be listening anyway. "Uh huh. Uh huh."

Absolutely no connection to subject: I was helping my step-son tyding up his room the other day and I found this small bottle saying 'skin glue', and it made me wonder about many things. I asked him WTF, and he laughed and told me that it was from back when he was in this live role playing club, for putting on pointed ears. They are actually glued on with this special 'skin glue'. Well, you never…
I was wondering how they put those Elf and Vulcan ears on. Makes total sense — skin glue! 😀
It is easy to glue them on. What about taking them off? :ko:
:lol:Uh, why would you want to take them off? :p

LMAO.And they are so perky! Must be an Elven thing. :p:heart:
That guy has boobs!
Bet you, if I showed up with pointed ears nobody would notice. I go with the Nosferatu look as it is.
:)I actually wrote a short about a death metal band back in '94 called 'Children of The Death'. The magazine I was running had it's headquarter in this cultural center which also had cheap rehearsal rooms for rent. So we had a lot of kids in leather outfits with instruments twice their size running around in the corridors. It inspired me to write this rather depressing story about a band that didn't really make it.I actually sold it to a music magazine.
You know, I have noticed something… In crime shows the smart IT chick always have this goth thing going. What is that? Like Abby from NCSI:
I like the Nosferatu look. :up:I'm Skeletor, from the old He-Man cartoon. You know I always thought that whole He-Man thing sounded really gay. But my nephews liked watching it, so…

I absolutely agree. So if we ever go out together we'd attrack a bunch of goth chicks, wouldn't we… I don't know if I would go with that. The goth chick part, I mean.
Interesting. So what's "hot" in Denmark then? They have some goth people here — but I see more guys than girls in that dress. Did see one attractive goth chic on the bus the last time I went to Spokane Eye Clinic. But I think the goth thing here is mostly an overflow from Seattle and Portland.Of course the "new" thing here in Spokane are all the "black metal" people. You know, my sister listens to that stuff too — even though she's like 50 years old. She's going to go see Cradle of Filth come February. I was trying to talk her into starting our own black metal band — Basket of Fur Balls. :p
Yeah, I've noticed that, that seems to be the trend. "Alternative" lab techs/scientists. Perhaps they think that such things as lab work and science wouldn't interest a lot of young people.Or perhaps they're throwing them in just for old farts like me. I always have liked Abby — to the best of my knowledge she was the first.
Would love to read it. I really don't know anything about black metal or its provenance. I asked my sister what death metal was, and she told me it was an earlier form of black metal. That's about all I know about it. BTW, looking at the schedule of concerts at the Knitting Factory for my sister it seems that a large number of the black metal bands that come here are Scandinavian. So I assume it's been popular there.
Come to think of it, I actually dated a lab assistant once, and she was kinda goth too, but that was in the early nineties when the Victorian new romantics style had a brief revival in Europe. Many of the old batcavers took the opportunity of 'darkening the attitude' again.I very rarely see goth fashion on the streets in Denmark these days.
Goth chics? Sign me up. :up:Either that or Kristen Stewart of Twilight. She seems to like vampires and such.
It's the Norwegan. They love to get drunk and burn churches. They are like the dark side of ABBA, really. The story was written in Danish of course, and I don't know if I even got a copy of it somewhere. Suppose I have, because I always keep what I write in some form, but my filing system is kinda… erm… intuitive?
I'm hitting the sack. Nice talking chicks and books and pointed ears with you. Let's do it again soon.
:lol:If I put anything away neatly I could never find anything. The stuff on my desk is composed of many archaeological layers. :)I do know my bookcase though. I can tell even if one book is missing — and usually can state what specific book it is.
Me too! Even if the collection is ever growing, I know every title. I love them. I know even the ones collecting dust in the study. By the way, have you ever read The Shadow of the Wind by Spanish writer Carlos Ruiz Zafón? I very highly recommend. Every book lover must read this book.
As always, a pleasure.
I'll check it out. Thanks.
