Those who have been visiting this blog for any time now
know about the big bag of money that I have been hoping
would come floating down out of the sky.
Well, that hasn't happened yet. But the other day I did
get a letter full of money — sent airmail from Serbia
by our Opera friend Darko.
That's pretty close…bag of money, letter of money, yeah?
I don't think I'm going to be able to spend this money, as
it looks to be an outdated currency. But from the number of
zeros on the bill it certainly does look like an awful lot
of money — $5,000,000 Dinara.
Front side of the money, showing Nikola Tesla, the great
Croatian Serbo-Croat engineer and the developer of the
Alternating Current — among other things.
Back side of the money, showing a hydro-electric dam.
I suppose that it is one of these.
Thanks, Darko. It is a fun gift! Now besides picture
frames for the photo prints Richard sent me, I'll be
getting one for the money.
