I was doing a bit of fantasy-style exploring the other
day looking for someplace cheap to stay in or near Karnak,
Egypt, when I ran across the above handy mini phrase
guide on a travel site.
I had to laugh that in the "Useful Words" section of the
phrase guide there were only three words — "camel," "boat,"
and "air conditioning."
Yeah, that's Egypt all right — the desert, the Nile, and
the heat.

They said on the newspapers that many tourist resorts are almost empty after the "revolution" in Egypt. Now they are trying to attract people to return there and spent summers as it was before. Almost entire Belgrade is covered in posters and billboards with "Greetings from Egypt!" Well, too bad for Egypt, I hope they will have tourists again as it was before. Maybe if they offer free camel riding 💡
Hey, I'll go with ya', if we can get a cheap airfare or boat ride. Tell ya' what. I have a friend with a 14-foot flat-bottom. I'll row if you'll navigate and provide the soft drinks.:DSeriously, wouldn't it be great if it were safe enough and affordable enough to be able to travel and see some of these wonderful places? I'd lovelovelove to be able to visit Italy for a couple of months, and Spain, and Austria, and Switzerland, and Egypt, and Israel, and Jordan, and…..:heart:
@ Darko.Interesting. I imagine there are some good deals to be had. You know I wouldn't hesitate in going, revolution or not.As for the camel riding — 😆 Yeah, you think they could at least throw in tickets for a couple of good camel rides. Or Nile boat cruises — now there yer' talkin'. 😀
@ Star.Sounds good! And I'll contact my close personal friend, Zahi Hawass. I'm sure he''d be glad to put us up at his place for a few weeks. :pI have to settle for virtual traveling. Or astral projection. But you are still a fairy young chicken yet. I hope that eventually you'll be able to visit a few of those places. :wizard::heart:
My cousin and his wife were in Nile cruising honeymoon few years ago. They liked it a lot. Except that it was way too hot for them :left:
