I was listening to the Prokofiev violin sonatas this
morning, and thought I would post a movement from
one of them.
An old video — Oistrakh and Richter.
Sergei Prokofiev, Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 1
Op. 80, IV. Allegrissimo.
I remember the Prokofiev in particular due to my first violin
teacher, Olive Rhodes, playing it at one of her recitals.
Sounds like the soundtrack to a silent movie, Edward. Or the soundtrack to little kids chasing butterflies.:up:Hope you're having a wonderful day.
And oh, Mrs. Rhodes played this sonata at one of her recitals. Blew me away.
😀 Well, I've never made the chasing butterflies association before — but who knows what Prokofiev was doing in his spare time? :):heart:I'm feeling pretty drained and empty. But my sister stopped by and helped get my mind off things. And maybe there will be a really stupid movie on tonight to help too.
I'm sorry you're feeling badly, Edward. Go get some Sasha kisses. Sasha kisses can help anybody feel lots better.
That is true! She's my beautiful girl! :flirt:
Oh yeah! Prokofiev is our everything. You can move easy …He boldly crushed destroy the academic basis in the arts. :ko: But I like more Stravinsky. 😆 Ed, please be ok! 🙂
Thank you for your concern. You be okay too!
