Well just when you thought the whole Lady Gaga thing
couldn't get any weirder, it seems that her music has
now made the crossover to string quartet.
Sounds pretty nice, actually!

:lol:It's a good arrangement!:)
I prefer it to Gaga!Nice find, Ed!:)
Awesome :up:I always thought the music alone is what made this song a hit.
@ Mags.I've noticed that with a lot of popular music that the melodic line is fairly repetitious of one or two notes and doesn't translate well to pure instrumental. It's that way with the Vitamin Quartet's version of Gaga's "Poker Face." But "Bad Romance" seems to work very well.
@ Martin.:DThe opening sounds like Ravel. :p
Deep Purple actually still tour with symphonics. And they are due at the Horsens Forum in december with some German orchestra, doing the same show as back then. I will be at the ticket office as soon as they open the sale. Horsens Forum (in my old home town) is possibly Denmark's best live stage at the moment. I'm sure it'll be a sickening trip…
That is like a small kid with a plastic saxophone compared to this. But cool even so…
Wow, seems that strings instruments did their part in so called modern music. I like this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXEpP21soXY

@ Darko. And of course the Moody Blues. 🙂
As far as I know, I've never heard a Lady Gaga song. And I hope to never hear one.:yikes::lol::heart:
@ Star.Well I would suggest starting with the string quartet version, then slowly working your way up to piano quintet version, then big band version, then orchestral version, and then something else besides Lady Gaga.:D:heart:
PS. I wonder if they will be doing a Mormon Tabernacle Choir version?:p
I heard recently country versions of some Lady Gaga songs
:lol:Probably not.:p:heart:
@ Pineas.A country version? Yeah, that just plain weird too. :worried:
And speaking of "crossover", check this out. Milton Babbitt and hot chicks. I confess that's a combination that would not have immediately occurred to me. :pBut then, who knows what hot chicks Milton scored with at Princeton and Julliard, yeah?
@ Star. And that's actually t-a-b-e-r-n-a-c-l-e, not taberbnacle. :pWell I fixed it. It's that tiny type on the Blackberry. Wow, what a way to start my morning — in a fit of obsessive compulsiveness. Of course in the 80s I started most of my mornings that way — it was my job.
Hmmm…three musicians and three dancers – "The Joy of More Sextets"?:D
:lol:Perhaps that's the encore. Later that evening. Off stage.
That looks like the same room in which Kane had his little "party" in Citizen Kane, where he danced with all those chorus girls.:heart:
Maybe it is!
Nothing wrong with a good chorus line. Every home should have one.
:rolleyes::lol:
In my house we have ballet. My dog Sasha kinda stands up on her back legs and jumps up and down for treats. Her nightly beefy stick though she goes to her bed and expects me to bring it to her. Sheeeesh, what a little princess.
😆
Hey good news, Star. The guy who got us an air conditioner brought it by this afternoon. All installed thanks to a neighbor's help. Which is good as we are having some hot weather here now. Now all I have to do is figure out how to program the thing — the days of just turning stuff on and turning it off are long gone.
I'm glad you were able to get it before the reallyreallyreally hot weather took over up thataway, Edward.
