The crumpled raincoat, the unkempt look,
the cigar, the seemingly befuddled and un-
threatening persona — ah, all hallmarks
of the beloved Detective Columbo.
And then there was his car. Always dirty,
frequently breaking down, and never without
its top down in spite of the fact that the
detective lived in California.
I got to wondering about that car today.
The dirty and possibly unsafe vehicle in
question was actually a 1959 Peugeot 403
convertible — today considered a classic.

May he rest in peace.:rip:
Easily one of my favorite TV detectives. Sad to see him go. 😦
He was one of my first great detectives, back when I was young. And you know I really loved Falk as the grandfather in The Princess Bride.
I'm sure he'll be back with just one more question…
I remember him in some comedies shown on our TV. It was a long time ago, though :left:
Ed this is a nice tribute.I liked his stories too, he was a great actor to watch.I loved the way he made the guilty squirm just at the sight of him.Below you can find Columbo's breakfast, his car license plate number, what his dog liked to eat, etc. a lot of fun facts.http://www.funtrivia.com/en/Television/Columbo-10465.html:up:
