I learned through my cousin Liz that my Uncle Ray died a few
days ago. Like his mother before him he died of Alzheimers.
The funeral will be today.

I will always remember him for his great sense of humor, his
gentle spirit, and his incredibly industrious nature.

My best to his sons, Ray Jr. and David. And also to my Aunt
Mimi and Uncle Bob.

When I was back in Indianapolis in 1996 for my dad's funeral,
I remember sitting around Uncle Ray's kitchen table and
talking with him about various things. One thing he mentioned
is that he thought that he would like to have bagpipes at his
funeral when it came his time to pass on.

Well I don't know whether that happened or not. But Uncle Ray,
this is for you.

Live again…
