"Take that dirty old thing back out where you found it!"I get that a lot, and I'm not an archaeologist…
Oh, my! I heard that a lot when I was kid.Been playing archaeologist in my yard the last few years. A lot of iron age stuff–nails, tools, car parts….Oh wait.Probably not iron age.But a good rain usually unearths all kinds of strange stuff.:D:heart:
There is actually scientific evidence pointing towards that there have been human settlements in the area where I live since before the iron age. However, this also means that we have to dig very deep to get to the iron age layer. Until now I have only unearthed the same sort of 'artifacts' Star is referring to: old pots and buckets and quite a deal of bricks. I refer to those as 'ancient structures' when I mention it to fellow town folks. It makes them laugh, because they get them too.

😆 Well folks maybe the archaeologists are just doing what we would all do if we could make a living at it. :DOriginally posted by Aqualion:
They'll be ancient eventually. It's the archaeologists motto: Everything is archaeology eventually.
Ain't that an irony? 😀
