State wildlife officials here are looking for the killer of a loon near Republic,
Washington.
The UnSub has been profiled as being a white male, between 27 and 40 years
of age, quiet, kind of a loner.
Okay, I admit it, I've been watching Criminal Minds way too much.

I don't know, Mags. THEORY: Because people are insane? I mean I admit to having had duck when I was younger. But a loon? I mean, they obviously didn't eat it as they didn't take the body of the bird.
Senseless. Really, what a shame! People who can be so brutal must be insane, or have some serious unresolved issues.

Well, I just hope they catch that unsubof a bitch. Our wildlife is in enough trouble here, and all over the world in fact. Damn these men who think shooting such a beautiful bird is fun.

Yes, you're right, Ed. Here's one from a lake in northern Ontario where the locals are more interested in consuming cases of beer than messing with this delightful bird.:)
